Breathe Easy

Most man made scented personal and body care products (shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, detergent, fabric softener, perfume, deodorant, after shave, etc) contain hundreds of harmful and even carcinogenic (cancer causing) chemicals. Long term and frequent usage and exposure to these products may lead to compromised health.
We wish all of our yoga students to have a pleasant and healthy stay at our studio.
We encourage you to use only unscented personal products.
Thank you for your consideration and cooperation.

If you are a heavy smoker, we ask that you first reduce your daily smoking to a minimal level - before you attend any of our yoga classes.

Please, help us to create a pleasant breathe-easy experience for you, and for everyone else. Thank you!

Please Arrive Early

Arriving late to classes causes disruption and is inconsiderate to fellow yoga students. Injuries may also result, because the body is not warmed/relaxed and is in a state of stress. The class experience is much more enjoyable, safe and productive when the body and mind are at ease. A good rest before (and after) class does wonders!

What you need to bring to class:

Bring your yoga mat, a large towel (beach towel size is mandatory), a wash cloth and a water bottle.

What you should wear in class:

We recommend that you wear as little as possible in the classroom; bathing suit, or a sports bra and shorts if you would feel more comfortable.

About Practice

During each session, your instructor will lead you through each pose, correcting your alignment when necessary. This close scrutiny of each student will assist you in perfecting your practice and prevent you from forming incorrect and poor habits.

Participate at your body's level of ability. You will naturally be able to go deeper into each pose in the heated classroom, but please do not push yourself beyond the point of feeling pain. Your regular and consistent practice will greatly increase your flexibility and strength.

We recommend that you attend a minimum of three classes a week to experience noticeable and continued benefits from your practice.

If you have a chronic health problem, we suggest that you attend classes daily for a minimum of six months. The improvement in your health will appear miraculous.

Be prepared to sweat.

  • Place your towel under you (on top of your mat) before you start each class (students DO sweat buckets!)
  • Use a clean towel for every class.
  • Wash your mat regularly.

Don't Eat!

  • Refrain from eating for a minimum of 2-3 hours before you do a class; with the high heat and bending postures, you will become nauseous with food in your stomach.

  • Please don't drink caffeinated beverages (coffee, tea) before you do a class.

Keep hydrated.

  • Drink plenty of water before and after class. Sip as needed during the yoga session.
  • Non-glass bottles ONLY, on the school premises. Only water is allowed into the classroom.

Silence please!

During each 90 minute session, the instructor will be constantly directing the student body through the postures as well as assisting and correcting individuals. ALL students are required to refrain from speaking in the classroom. (Laughter, tears and moans are anticipated.)

Relax in the Resting Pose.

We don't have the space for you to "hang out" in the change rooms or cloakroom to rest after class. Please take the time to rest in the Resting Pose inside the classroom.

Zip in and out.

Please be considerate of fellow students by changing and showering as quickly as possible.

Enjoy your practice! See you soon.
